Santa Cruz

March 27, 2010

Okay. So now I can officially have a somewhat plan. Well, really at this point all I can say is that at the rate my family is going we are going to sleep in the Theme park, and as fun as that may sound, sleeping on gum, food, and other sticky stuff which you might not want to know what it is, can bring the whole fun part down.
So the somewhat plan at which I speak is the hotel. Now we aren't stopping in our search for a house, but since all the places that we have tried turned us down or told us that they wish for us to stay an entire week and there is no way we can do that, we will be having a backup plan, which is a hotel. What the plan is, all the girls will stay in one room and my parental units, in the other.
The wonderful hotel at which I speak is called the Dream Inn in Santa Cruz and it does indeed have a website so feel free to do a background check. The Dream Inn was recently renovated and is now totally cool. It has a pool, which can be heated, an hot tub, an restaurant to eat at or get room service from. Sadly we would have to pay for the room service so bring some extra money. Well, maybe I could get my parents to pay, but it would only be once I think. Another and probably the most important thing about the hotel is the location. It is right across from the beach and just a walk away from the Board Walk and Downtown. Awesome...
Well that's all for now. Oh wait, I have just recently discovered that Kiah, one of the coolest people and also most annoying, next to my other cool but annoying friends, read MY BLOG!! MY BLOG. I know. Totally surprising right. Or maybe not, I really don't know. All I know about it is that my blog doesn't just go off into syber space. It doesn't just go into the world as an empty blog. How cool is that. Well in my mind its awesome.

Weird Feeling

I don't know why but I had this strange feeling that I would have a comment on one of my blogs today. Imagine my surprise when that turned out just to be a feeling that will probably never come true. Except for that one comment that Kiah gave me once. No offence but I have this feeling that nobody reads my blog. Not that I expect them to, I mean really, it is only a blog about a trip where I say the same thing over and over again to get it embedded into your head.
If I were you I wouldn't want to read this blog either. Anyway, why I wrote today is just to say that. I had a feeling. Now don't judge. Its my feeling and I wish to spread it to the world, or more likely just get lost in syber space. huh. Well, I guess I can dream that someone, whoever you are, is reading this. Hopefully one of my friends but probably not.
Okay, moving on to party. So we are entering the wonderful month of march. Full of Little Green men, school and March Madness. Go University of Kentucky.... So I have looked and actually see that a hotel might work for the party, but don't fear. We will still make our loving trip to Safeway, or whatever market that we can find in Santa Cruz, and shop till we drop. Now to some the idea of spending your first few hours in Santa Cruz in a Safeway looking for food to eat may sound boring or weird, but it can actually be quiet enjoyable. Especially when its your mothers credit card you are using to pay for all the food. Can I get a Boo-Ya. Anyone? Nope?
Well, since my faithful daddy is one of the big honchos of the greatest elevator company in the world, and yes it is a world wide company, Otis Elevators, he does have some pretty cool connections. We, meaning my family, friends and I, could all stay at a number of hotels far greater than the one we might choose now. Only problem is the only thing near the hotels is a Gold Course. Not to all, elevator salesmen like to play golf when not selling elevators or talking about any topic pertaining to elevators. So, back the hotels. Since my dad has these connections, we can stay at an awesome hotel for a discount. Awesome... one of the hotels we have is quiet cool. It has kind of a modern theme. A cool modern theme. Not one of those, they are trying to hard modern themes. The hotel also has some cools suits. Like, big rooms with sitting areas, a view of the ocean, a bathtub/ Jacuzzi, separate room for sleeping and more.... The other rooms are just small and one roomed. The smaller rooms probably have better access to the pool though. Yes, I did say pool. The name of the Hotel will be given if and when we choose to book rooms there, but until them. Se Levi. Or adios amigo de el mundo.

Problems

Friends,
It is today that I will have to say that we, my friends and I, may not be going to a house for my birthday after all. I know, I know, those of you who sent me rental houses to check out were checked out and so far none of the houses that we have emailed have replied with positive feedback. They have either not emailed back yet or said that we can not only stay in the house for just the weekend but the whole week and considering how much that would be, it is just not possible. Of course, I would be more than happy to accept donations from anyone two would like to donate to the Party fund. Hehe, just kidding. Anyway, so if any of you have any ideas on what to do about my dilemma at the current time, feel free to comment. But we do have a back up plan. Either we could stay at a hotel for the trip or go to some other location. unfortunately if we chose another location, it would not be able to be close to Santa Cruz because we have already checked all places near the Santa Cruz area and along the southern coast line within two or three hours from where we are now. Yes, I have suggested to my mom we try L.A. but she believes that is to far and we would not be able to have as much free time as wished also. I promise to keep you all updated if another idea comes up.

Okay....so I guess I can finally say we have the dates for the party. Not date, DATES....So actually I haven't really chosen the date for the party yet but I will, when the time is right. Or when I stop being lazy about it. Also, I can't really choose a date until I get a house. I have narrowed some of the houses I like down to about 10 or 12 but since my mother dearest hasn't checked out the houses yet we are still undecided. Once we choose the house, if we choose a house, I will post a link on the site for all of you to check, but right now I am undecided. When
I say, if we choose a house, I mean, there are some problems with choosing a house. So far every house we have looked at has some sort of problem that makes us go, nope, so we might, wait for it....end up going to a hotel. Before you say anything. I know, a house sound a bunch more fun, but at a hotel we would have a bigger chance of being by the beach. Also, if we got a hotel, we would get our own room, so that would mean that the parental units would be out of our hair for most of the time. Sadly not all of the time since my parents would probably want to know when and where we go every second and where we are, my parents would probably be not that far behind. My mom actually has found a hotel that we could get a really nice room for a low price, but it is in Monterrey Bay. Monterrey Bay isn't my wanted choice but you never now.
So the four dates are the ones that I put in a resent blog post but since nobody wants to look for it the dates are June 25-27, July 25-27, August 6-8, and August 13-15. All are weekends so we would leave on Friday and come back on Sunday, unless we decide to leave earlier or come back later.
Until next time,

If your name is morgan read second paragraph...Mucho Importante

So, the Olympics are over. Good bye Sean White, Tomato head and snow border extraordinaire. Goodbye specially imported snow. Goodbye gold, silver and bronze metals, for another two years. I hear that the summer Olympics of 2016 is going to be held in Africa, but that is just Senior high school gossip. If you want to hear something totally true and cool, I have this huge red mark on my arm that is growing by day and night all from this tinny little shot that i received from the nurse when I made my overdue check up to the doctors last Friday. And the red spot hurts too. I'm serious. I mean I know I'm like the biggest wimp in the world when it comes to shots but seriously, this was totally not worth getting the chicken pocks.
Anyway, down to business. As you all now from my recent blog entries and from the fact that I can't seem to gain the concept of secret, (Note to all friends: don't tell Madison juicy secret. I will blab eventually. Whether that this of blab is the day after or 1o years after.) I will be having my party at a beach house with my good friends. That is if i can end up getting a house. Thank you to all you who sent me links to houses online. I now have like a huge list of good houses to go off of which I will narrow down and post on this blog for you all to see and decide, but until then, you can all just wait and wonder. Also, I could really use Morgans dates that she is available over the summer. The rest of you are pretty much solid. Let me remind you Morgan that this is muy importante. I need every weekend that you are available from the first weekend to the last of summer. ALL OF THEM!!! And the sooner the better....
luv ya'll,
-Maddie
